About Maggie
I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable being yourself and can talk openly without judgment. My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I meet you where you are while encouraging you to explore patterns, perspectives, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck. Therapy is a space to better understand yourself, work through what is weighing on you, and make changes that feel realistic for your life. I will support you throughout that process while also encouraging you to look at things differently when it may help you grow. My goal is for you to feel more confident navigating challenges and moving forward in a way that feels meaningful to you.

Experience
My clinical experience includes working with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, substance use disorders, relationship concerns, life transitions, and chronic stress. I have a particular understanding of the unique challenges faced by military members, veterans, first responders, and their families. As an Army veteran, former first responder, and spouse of a retired Green Beret, I bring both clinical experience and a personal understanding of these communities and the cultures surrounding them. I also enjoy helping clients work through specific fears and phobias, particularly fear of flying. My experience has shown me how significantly anxiety can limit a person’s choices and experiences. I enjoy helping clients understand what is driving their anxiety, develop effective ways to respond to it, and regain confidence in areas of life that fear may have taken away.
Education
I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University and my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fayetteville State University. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Psychology in Behavioral Health Leadership. Continuing my education allows me to deepen my understanding of behavioral health, strengthen my clinical perspective, and continue growing in the care I provide to my clients.
