1. What Known Practice is

Known Practice is an information, discovery, and administrative platform. It is not a clinical provider, medical practice, insurer, emergency service, licensing board, accrediting body, or treatment recommendation service.

2. Provider independence

Providers are independent professionals responsible for their services, professional judgment, legal and ethical compliance, licensure, insurance, representations, availability, fees, and the accuracy of their profiles.

3. What verification means

Known Practice reviews the specific documents, attestations, and source information identified on a profile against its published evidence standards. It does not independently audit all facts, supervise providers, evaluate clinical competence, endorse any provider, or guarantee expertise, suitability, quality, safety, outcomes, availability, insurance participation, coverage, reimbursement, or uninterrupted service.

4. “Verified” is limited

A “Verified” label is limited to the exact item, source, method, and review date displayed on the profile. It does not extend to any matter not specifically identified.

5. Your responsibility to assess fit

Users must independently assess fit and confirm current licensure, disciplinary history, fees, insurance participation, benefits, location authorization, and availability before engaging any provider.

6. Known Practice’s review rights

Known Practice may request additional evidence, reverify items, correct labels, unpublish, suspend, or remove profiles at any time.

7. Provider authorizations and warranties

Providers authorize reasonable verification contact and warrant that submitted information is accurate, complete, current, non-infringing, and contains no patient information.

8. Booking commitment policy

Booking an initial appointment requires a signed-in account and a valid card on file. The card is not charged when the appointment is booked. A $10 Known Practice booking commitment fee may apply only if the user cancels less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time or the provider reports that the initial appointment was missed. Known Practice gives the user notice and a 24-hour review period before attempting a charge. A timely dispute pauses the charge until an administrator reviews it. Provider silence never causes a charge, and if the provider does not report an outcome within 72 hours after the appointment, no booking fee applies. Users may hold only one active initial appointment at a time.

9. No emergency or crisis use

Known Practice is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911. Consultation requests must not contain urgent or highly sensitive clinical information and do not create a therapist-client relationship.

10. Provider membership & cancellation

A published provider listing requires an active Known Practice membership, billed at $59.00 per month. Memberships are non-refundable, and all fees are final once charged. You may cancel your membership at any time from your provider dashboard; cancellation stops future renewals only. Your membership remains active, and your listing stays live, through the end of the current paid billing period (approximately 30 days from your most recent charge). At the end of that period your membership expires, your subscription ends, and your profile is automatically suspended and removed from public search until you reactivate. No partial or prorated refunds are issued for the remaining days in a canceled period. If your payment method fails, Known Practice may attempt to retry the charge; continued failure may result in suspension of your listing.

11. Text messages

Text messages are optional. You may separately opt in to provider account and profile messages, promotional messages, or both. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. You may withdraw consent at any time. Consent to text messages is not a condition of creating an account, completing a profile, or using Known Practice.
